One more time
One more chance
わたしのままに
One more time
One more chance
世界感じて
孤独な夜を 越えて
つながるあなたと 今ここ
すべてを捧げ 踊る
抱きしめて Sun Dance
ゆるぎないもの
ゆらされるもの
それでも今ここに あるもの

Sun Dance (feat. SORAIRO KAMYU & mabsoh) [Chill in Itoshima]
JP's PlayRoom
Sun Dance (feat. SORAIRO KAMYU & mabsoh) : This is the second release from "Chill in Itoshima", a collective art and music project organized by COLORAN KORAN.JP. The project features collaborations between artists based in or visiting Itoshima, Fukuoka, aiming to share the relaxed vibe of Itoshima with the world.
This piece is an immersive sound art that allows listeners to experience the mystical power of Itoshima - once known as "Ito-koku" and mentioned in the Gishi-Wajin-Den. It starts with field recordings from Mount Raizan, where the sacred energy of the mountains, such as Nijo-dake and Ukidake, can still be felt. Birdsong, flowing rivers, and the crisp mountain air form an atmospheric opening, evolving into a dramatic harmony of dual vocals intertwined with the resonating overtones of a didgeridoo.
SORAIRO KAMYU, who contributes to the vocals, lyrics, and composition, is a singer who hosted the Itoshima Megami Festival, performed at GAIA 2024, and offers devotional performances at shrines and temples. With her enchanting voice, she conveys the song's empowering message: "Dance, sing, and live your truest self." Adding earthy resonance to the track is mabsoh from THE YELLOW, a versatile didgeridoo artist celebrated for his ambient to techno performances, including energizing audiences at Sunset Live 2024.
The track's immersive sound is brought to life by JP's PlayRoom, known for his signature chill guitar. JP's PlayRoom handled guitars, bass, vocals/chorus, programming, songwriting, arrangement, mixing, and overall music production. The mastering was done at London's Metropolis Studio by Andy 'Hippy' Baldwin, who has worked with artists like Oasis, Pet Shop Boys, and Blur.
The artwork, crafted by Itoshima-based painter Mio Mayumi, reflects the synergy of the ocean and forest with cosmic energy. Featuring a tree of life atop a floral, moonlike sun, her piece captures the powerful forces of nature imbued in the song, expressed as if painted live.
