INTRO

For those moments when you want a little break from work or studying

When you're completely exhausted, both mentally and physically, and want to relax

That's when "Gakko Chakko" - pickles and tea - is perfect

Verse 1

"Gakko" means pickles, and among them, "Iburigakko" is special

It's smoked daikon radish, pickled with a mix of rice bran, salt, sugar, and more

Fermented and matured for months, it's packed with nutrients

Verse 2

"Iburigakko" improves your gut health and relieves constipation

It has antioxidant properties and boosts your immunity

It also helps with fatigue recovery, gives you beautiful skin, and strengthens your immunity

Bridge

"Iburigakko" is inexpensive and has anti-stress and relaxing effects

Let's all enjoy the crispy, crunchy, and popping sound of "Gakko Chakko" while having tea together

This sound enhances the deliciousness, the fun, and our communication skills, right?

Outro

But be careful! In libraries, movie theaters, and during exams, you'll attract everyone's attention

In those times, just like grandma used to do, roll the "gakko" around in your mouth

Enjoy the taste of "gakko" discreetly

Due to the recent increase in rice prices, we've been eating it less often. However, whenever we do have a meal with rice, iburigakko is always on the table.

Iburigakko is also excellent with tea, and it's great for gut health, so we never have issues with constipation. Both my husband and I work at computers, so we tend to lack exercise, but we still don't suffer from constipation.

I heard from a colleague at work that in Akita, many families used to make their own iburigakko. However, I order mine online from Akita (via Amazon).

Since fewer people are making iburigakko these days, I wanted to spread awareness about it, so I created about 20 songs. I wrote the lyrics in English because I hope to introduce the goodness of this pickled vegetable to as many people as possible.

I write poetry about my everyday life with my wife, as we're both around 70 years old. Having lived for over 70 years, I've experienced countless moments where I thought, "This is the end." Yet, each time, I've managed to pick myself up and keep living. I've poured that journey into these lyrics. SUNOAI has composed the music and also provides the vocals. However, I also plan to distribute a karaoke version created with Filmora, where I'll sing the songs myself. The TuneCore Japan Support Team encouraged me with words like, "Even grandpas and grandmas can do it!" and gave me hope. Since TuneCore Japan will distribute my music, I'm entrusting it to them.
