7-piece swing rock band MUJINA returns after an eight-month hiatus with their latest single, "Hensou" (Disguise). Inspired by the legendary Japanese mystery novel The Fiend with Twenty Faces by Edogawa Ranpo, the track is a high-octane, chameleonic journey. While staying true to their swing rock roots, MUJINA reveals a fresh dimension-opening with vibrant horns that lead into a lyrical world of eccentric mystery. Following a lineup change last year, this 2026 release marks a bold evolution and the definitive sound of the new MUJINA.
MUJINA Formed in Tokyo at the end of 2023. A seven-piece swing rock band consisting of drums, wood bass, keyboards, tenor sax, trombone, guitar, and vocals. The band features groovy bass lines with a swinging beat that makes your heart dance, and horn arrangements reminiscent of a big band. The colorful melodies played by piano and guitar, and the overwhelming singing ability of the band shock audiences. Inspired by movies, musicals, and other forms of entertainment, MUJINA's stage direction, choreography, and performance are truly worthy of the name "show".
