I feel unworthy of Your promise tonight

Did I live only for pride and fame?

Leaving my name like graffiti on the frame

Writing verses that may vanish with the wind

Chasing false immortality I cannot win

Then my child was born, with cries and pain

From their struggle came my soul’s regain

Reminded me of values long lost

And showed my life anew, whatever the cost

Faith, hope, and charity I pray

Grow in my heart each day

Yet I falter, I doubt Your way

Still, I bow, I kneel, and say
