Artist Profile

  • guzu kenji

    Formed in 1981, the rock 'n' roll band "BCG ROCKERS," and as the former leader, guitarist, and singer of the acoustic unit "Guzu," formed in 1996, he has been active on the front lines as a pure live rock 'n' roll musician for nearly 30 years. In 2007, the year Shotgun Riders was founded, he also appeared in the Japanese film "Crows Zero," released that same year, with his own machine. Afterwards, both bands effectively disbanded and he retired from active performance by the end of 2009... Then, in 2019... Taking on a regular DJ role on the radio program FM Osaka 851 (FM OSAKA) "THE FRONTIER OF ROCK'N ROLL" (which ended at the end of September 2023), he returned to music after 9 years as the rock 'n' roller "Guzu Kenji" (solo). From 2024 onward, he will also start activities and release a new album as "Guzu Kenji & Shotgun Rockers."
