    The second in the series of instrumental cover singles, featuring soothing arrangements and performances of famous Studio Ghibli films by Lisako Oshima, a young classically-based violinist who graduated from the University of the Arts, is the theme song to the masterpiece "The Wind Rises," "Hikouki Gumo."
    The melody of this classic, reproduced in a simple classical style for violin and piano, is a soothing tune you'll want to listen to forever.
    The jacket artwork was created by Watanabe Yoichi, a painter who works on backgrounds for Studio Ghibli films, and Yamada Shinichiro, an animator from Ghibli!

    • Lisako Oshima

      Violinist from Aichi, Japan, who started playing the violin in the USA at the age of five. Graduated from the Faculty of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts. She has won many national and international competitions and has appeared on TV, Live and in many other media. She has also been active in many anime and film recordings. 2012: 1st prize at the Age-J National Competition in the string section of the 13th Osaka International Music Competition. 2014: 1st prize at the 68th All Japan Student Music Competition, as well as the Japan Broadcasting Corporation Award and the Music Encouragement Award. Awarded by the Nagoya City Board of Education. 2016: highest prize at the 2nd Munetsugu Hall Zigoinelwaizen Competition, together with the Audience Prize and the Owner's Prize. 2018: awarded highest prize at the Vienna Beethoven International Violin Competition. First prize in the university students' section of the 21st Performers' Competition for Strings. Performed with KYGO, JustinJesso and others at Saitama Super Arena. 2019: First prize at the Nauncev International Violin Competition, Poland. Awarded the Ataka Prize while a student at Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. Selected as Morning Concert Performer and performed with the Geijyutsu Philharmonic Orchestra. Performs with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra. 2021/2022: XFLAGPARK MONSTERSTRIKE ORCHESTER Solo violinist.
