Based in Katsushika Ward, Tokyo, hip-hop artist DMK has teamed up with up-and-coming self-produced artist ksr:3 to create the EP "monstera." All tracks were produced by ksr:3 and created through studio sessions, with the concept of exploring DMK's new approach to beats and focusing on flows not found in existing tracks. Drawing inspiration from the monstera plant, known for thriving in low-light conditions, DMK has cultivated a diverse range of rapping skills in this work. Throughout the EP, ksr:3's smooth beats flow seamlessly, while DMK weaves lyrical verses at a half-tempo pace, vividly bringing the album's worldview to life. Starting with "take it back," ksr:3's beats, which blend classic hip-hop with a futuristic sound, create a seamless synergy with DMK's tight approach. On his YouTube channel, DMK plans to release visualizers for all the tracks featured in this work. A physical tape release is also in the works. This work marks the beginning of DMK's career in the hip-hop industry, making it a fitting debut.
