you're top the star

"To You, My Brightest Star" (Ichiban-boshi no Kimi e) is the 13th original song and first single of 2024. It is a message-driven track that casts "you" living through ever-changing days as the protagonist against the grand backdrop of the sky, the sea, the seasons, time, and the Earth itself. The repeated refrain of "You are the top star" embodies the wish that every individual recognizes their own uniqueness and shines as the brightest star in their own life. While the song grandly depicts a world where the seasons, the present and future, the sky and sea, and people themselves are all interconnected and evolving, it also incorporates a playful, comical exchange shifting from "Three Wishes for a Star Child" to a genie from a magic lamp that reflects Kotoha Amakawa`s signature sense of fun. Packed into a rich, 2-minute-44-second soundscape, the song carries a positive message consistent with her previous releases like "NearFuture," "Your Birth Stage," and "On The Stage." It is delivered with the hope that, while wishing for clear skies tomorrow, you will also believe in your own special radiance.
