Lullabies for My Sleepless Wife I recorded this lullabies on the harp for my wife, who suffers from insomnia. Lullabies have a deep connection with the history of the Irish harp and ancient fairy folklore. In Celtic mythology, Uaithne, the harper of the Great God Dagda, used the harp's mysterious magical powers to defeat the enemy Fomorian giants. In honor of Uaithne's deeds, Dagda played three kinds of music on the harp: Suantraí - the music of sleep, born from iron strings Geantraí - the music of joy, born from brass strings Goltraí - the music of sorrow, born from silver strings These are said to be the origins of Irish music. This recording was performed using the "Dragon Harp," a 20-string brass-strung harp made of Japanese hinoki cypress, which I designed and crafted in 2024. Please do not listen while driving or operating heavy machinery, as it may cause drowsiness.
