    Toshi Sakamoto is a Japanese folk singer-songwriter based in Queensland, Australia. Performing solo with a nylon-string guitar and primarily Japanese lyrics, he has gained deep support from audiences across cultures, generations and backgrounds throughout Australia. His music carries themes of family love and peace, expressing the light and shadow of life in a positive and uplifting way. His live performances combine quiet intimacy with emotional power, creating moments where delicate atmosphere rises into strong energy and deep shared connection. In 2025, he performed at Woodford Folk Festival, one of Australia's largest festivals. While maintaining a simple performance style, he creates immersive live experiences, and in recent years has begun expanding his live activities into Japan.
