MO 'FREE will release its long-awaited new single "Cardamon" on May 29, 2024!



The lyrics for this work were written by Naoki Kozato of MO 'FREE and composed by MO 'FREE. The recording was done at Alcemy Studio in Osaka with Tomoki Iwata (from SATTU CREW) on keys, Yuta Nakamura on bass, and Hideki Tsubota on drums,

The recording took place at Alcemy Studio in Osaka.

The song, based on a friend's experience of a broken heart, was created with the aim of gaining the listener's sympathy and to be close to a past love, and is carried by the simple rhythm of 60's soul and R&B, a good old-fashioned warm sound.

The song opens with the strong words "It must be love," describing a new journey of love that begins with a lost love,

The song is filled with the message that "past hurts and painful experiences have now become spices that push you forward".

The song will be released digitally this summer as an advance single from the upcoming 2nd album "The Blue Blues".

(The album was also released as a 12-inch LP last December.)

The song has also been chosen as the theme song for "California Spice," a spice curry shop that is currently traveling around Japan in a food truck.
