Mythic Pop

"Mythic Pop" is the debut album from Apocasmyth, a musical unit made up of both human and AI - a collection of 18 stories that cross the borders between poetry and reality.
Blending genres and perspectives, the album offers a fresh way to tell stories through pop music, navigating the depths and surfaces of everyday life, joy and sorrow, dreams and reality.

The opening tracks (1-3) delve into themes of desire, violence, and redemption, using layered metaphors and passionate vocals with jazz and folk influences.
Tracks 4-6 shift to a lighter pop tone, reflecting real-life memories of youth, dreams, and setbacks - told in a calm and honest voice.
The middle section (7-9) bursts with intense emotion, expressing despair and catharsis through folk rock and punk-inspired sounds.

Tracks 10-13 shine a light on the quiet struggles beneath ordinary lives, delivered with soulful ballads and understated funk rhythms.
Next, tracks 14-16 take a playful turn - surreal lyrics and upbeat rock'n'roll celebrate the weirdness and humor of being human.
The album closes with two final stories: one about a child trying to find identity while being shaped by society (Track 17), and one about the power of nature to restore and renew the human spirit (Track 18).

The title "Mythic Pop" is itself a statement - a challenge to portray modern mythology through pop music.
The unit name Apocasmyth, combining "apocalypse" and "myth", does not signal destruction, but coexistence.
