Wanabee
Wanabee is a J-Pop artist and Kids Idol group composed of eight girls aged 6 to 13, who operate under the concept: "We want to support your 'Wannabe' (what you want to become)."
The group was formed after a year of rigorous training. Instructors from M MUSIC, which has over 20 years of experience in Sannō, Ōta Ward, Tokyo, provided vocal and dance instruction. Wanabee officially began activities in October 2025.
Their greatest appeal lies in their sophisticated melody lines, influenced by J-Pop and City Pop from the 90s to the present day, and their sharply observed lyrics that capture the subtle nuances of daily life. The worldview expressed through the voices of these young, yet-to-mature girls is truly unique. They are newcomers with a highly anticipated future. Although their activity history is still short, they have already garnered empathy and support from many listeners.
With the release of their highly anticipated debut double A-side single, "Iroenpitsu de Egaita Yume / Moment", Wanabee is a highly-watched group expected to make further leaps, including a national tour and appearances at major festivals.
