NewsGatheringは、メンバー4人が音楽、アートワーク、プロモーションをセルフプロデュースする、今の時代ならではのオンラインバンドです。
NGはCovid-19の発生とともに活動を開始し、オンライン実験室で音の多彩な化学反応を引き出すことで、時代の空気を感じさせるクールでエモーショナルな音楽を生み出しました。

本アルバムEasterは前作Galapagosと対になっており、NGが一貫してテーマとしてきたシンギュラリティとアンビバレンスに基づいて発想されました。
ガラパゴス諸島は古代の生命がタイムカプセルのように保存されている島。一方、イースター島はかつて人類が栄えたけれど、新しくやってきた人類によって滅ぼされてしまった島です。AIや量子コンピューター、冬眠から目覚めたウイルスが人類の未来をどうしてしまうのかを暗示しているようです。
