Chapman hails from the Queensbridge Housing Projects in Queens, New York City, and helped spawn other hip-hop artists such as Mobb Deep, Capone-N-Noreaga, Nas. He is documented to be the first to use the phrase "Illmatic" in 1988 on a record called "The Rebel", from the Marley Marl album In Control, Volume 1, which was an inspiration and influence on fellow New York rapper Nas.
Big Twins (formerly Twin Gambino), is an American rapper from Queens, New York. He is an affiliate of Mobb Deep and a member of Infamous Mobb. Raheem is known for his distinctive gravely, raspy voice. Raheem was raised in the Queensbridge Houses in Queens. He was a twin brother of fellow rapper Twin Scarface, who was killed in a car crash in 1996. Raheem made his debut in 1996 on the song "Animal Instinct" by Mobb Deep.
