A song written and composed by Takashi Okita, declaring and transmitting "I love the earth!" from Hiroshima.
In 1993, the Dortmund Philharmonic Orchestra (Germany), where Okita was a member at the time, held a charity concert "Hiroshima '93" for Hiroshima atomic bomb survivors at his suggestion, and recorded a live version. Produce a CD. After returning to Japan in June 1996, he formed the orchestra "The Harmony", which consisted mainly of picked-up members from the 22 Pro Orchestra in Japan at the time, and eight members from the Dortmund Philharmonic Orchestra, and performed "Hiroshima'. 93" answer concert [We love the EARTH from HIROSHIMA] was held in Hiroshima and Tokyo, and a total of 5 million yen was donated to the city of Hiroshima as well as concert admission revenue in three cities and CD sales revenue.
In 2004, Okita created a song with the same name, "We love the EARTH from HIROSHIMA", which was selected as the theme song for Hiroshima FM Broadcasting "We love Music".
In 2014, the "My Heart Concert" Promotion Committee, represented by Okita, and the Hiroshima City Board of Education co-organized a joint chorus of about 90 elementary, middle and high school students to perform music for young people. Produced the CD "We love the EARTH from HIROSHIMA" (included songs: "We love the EARTH from HIROSHIMA", "Tell you smile and heart", "Let's get started!" ~It's My Pleasure!~) and released it all over Hiroshima Prefecture. Donated the chorus sheet music to elementary, junior high, and high schools.
In 2021, the "My Heart Concert" Promotion Committee, the Hiroshima City Board of Education, Hijiyama University, and the Hijiyama University Junior College Division will co-sponsor, and will send "yell" along with gratitude for the "love" of Hiroshima so far. about 6,200 high schools and special needs schools in Japan, 364 National Federations and Councils of Human Rights Volunteers, the "Small Kindness" Movement Headquarters and Branches, and other related sites nationwide. from HIROSHIMA project. The CD also includes "We love the EARTH from HIROSHIMA".
On May 19, 2023, at the "Partner Program" of the "G7 Hiroshima Summit" in Hiroshima City, the English version (English lyrics by Mrs. Yuko Kishida, the wife of the Prime Minister) was performed for the first time. A Japanese version of "We love the EARTH from HIROSHIMA" has been newly recorded by Rie Utagokoro (vocals), Takashi Okita (viola) and Chiharu Okita (piano).
