Dorodarake No Bokura

"Dorodarake no Bokura" ("We Covered in Mud")
is a song created for a nursery school graduation slideshow.

At first, we planned to use an existing song.
However, TAT's single comment-
"I want to create it starting from the music"-
became the catalyst for making this song.

"The feeling that it's going to be hard comes first,
and often we quit before even starting.
That's why there are fewer moments of excitement.
For the children who have lived with all their might,
we want to respond with all our might as well."

Inspired by those words,
we reflected on the days the children spent at the nursery,
and as a couple, we talked it over again and again-
sometimes clashing-while building the lyrics and the music.

Clothes covered in mud.
Mud that won't wash out.
Time spent laughing with friends.
Memories of being held tight.

The children's everyday lives
were more straightforward
and more irreplaceable than adults often realize.

We would be happy if this song
someday becomes a trigger
for the children themselves to remember
their own irreplaceable moments.

As the very best gift we can give right now,
we present this song.
