Stylish Electric Chill Pop!!
"Socca," the electric pop duo formed by singer-songwriter Chima-who captivates listeners with her falsetto, whispers, and soft vocals-and composer and soundmaker tuLaLa, who creates dreamy and sophisticated sounds, has released "mr owl," their first new album in two years.
Set to an atmospheric track that evokes scenes from a story, the song is filled with a sense of floating. It creates an ambiance reminiscent of stepping into a fantastical forest, featuring meticulously crafted electronic details and a low-end resonance that resonates with club sounds-all of which are incredibly pleasing to the ear. This is a track unique to Socca-one that doesn't simply end as a ballad, but is instead filled with a quiet radiance born of their signature fantasy.
The artwork is an original print by Susumu Matsuura, an up-and-coming visual artist known for his work with Socca. Its beauty is reminiscent of illustrations from European fairy tales.
Socca provided the music and appeared in a video by Tokyo-based art director Yuria Oku, which was nominated in the Music Video category at the Sapporo International Short Film Festival 2026.
