Hideki Kaji releases a truly magnificent cover of "Oblivious" by Aztec Camera-a gem of a track from the neo-acoustic era!
This is a digital advance single from the compilation album *Neo-Acoustic for Café Après-midi*, which features newly recorded covers of neo-acoustic classics themed around the "bliss of an afternoon coffee." The project brings together the talents of Toru Hashimoto (SUBURBIA) for supervision and song selection, Jiro Fujita (FJD) for artwork, and Calm for mastering.

Her first album, 'MINI SKIRT' (released in January 1997), incorporated elements of Swedish pop-just before the genre became a global phenomenon-and became a massive hit, selling over 300,000 copies; she was a leading figure in the 'Shibuya-kei' music scene of the 1990s. Her song 'Amai Koibito' (Sweet Lover)-the theme song for the 2008 film 'Detroit Metal City'-became a smash hit. Marking the 30th anniversary of her solo debut this August, she is garnering attention for her increasingly vigorous activities. Her latest album, 'BEING PURE AT HEART ~Arinomama de Iin Janai~', was released in April 2024.
