Climbing the stairs only to come back down, opening a drawer and putting everything back, covering a blank sheet of paper in layer after layer of graphite. To others, these actions may appear meaningless. To the person trapped inside them, however, they become a vital ritual, a way of holding onto a fading sense of self.
As the body continues to move on its own and reality begins to feel distant, the sound of pencil against paper gradually transforms into quiet proof Im still here.
