ima no nihon shakai

Can't get married
Can't have kids

Can't get a job
Can't find love

Money circulates
But happiness doesn't

Today's society-a society of connections
Today's society-a rigged game
Do what's right?
No reward
Deliver results?
No recognition
The honest fall prey to scams
Beauties and children fall prey to the rich

Today's society-a society of scum
Today's society-a society of lowlifes

Only wrongdoing turns a profit
Good deeds
Don't pay
So they get put on the back burner
A paradise for demons, a utopia for evil
Free to do whatever they please
Like corrupt officials of old

Defense spending
Over disaster preparedness

Tax hikes, yes
But no tax cuts
Banks and investors rake in the cash
While honest artisans live in abject poverty
Police chase in sedans
Commoners flee in tiny kei-cars

Today's society-a society rife with corruption

Even with the drive
There's no work
Even with the brains, there's no money for school
The kind-hearted become targets of bullying
While the bullies are seen as having leadership qualities

Today's society is completely twisted

Evil is the winner
Angels are the losers
That is the reality we live in

Money circulates, but
Happiness has come to a halt

Japanese society has truly rotted
It's pathetic, Japanese society

Today's
Today's
Japanese society
