Quagero Imazawa, also known as BASSNINJA, is producing an album (his 24th overall) with Periodical Cicadas, the group responsible for the first outbreak of one trillion cicadas in 221 years in the United States.

In May 2024, he has traveled to the capital of Illinois, where 17-year and 13-year cicadas (a total of seven species) are said to be gathering simultaneously,
and recorded their calls in swarms of cicadas in an unprecedented collaboration.

By combining this with Imazawa's music, he will be able to share this unique music with the world and into the future.
