TORAT, a singer/rapper active in Nagoya, Japan, releases her second single "Wasted!"
This song combines a fast-paced pop and kawaii sound with lyrics about heartbreak and jealousy written from a life-size perspective.
This bilingual-style song about the emotional transitions of lost love is sure to win the hearts of many people, both in Japan and abroad.
Like his previous work, the song was mixed and mastered by his childhood friend SyoX, and the beat is a collaboration between French beatmakers Swan and Yusha, who are close friends of the artist.
We hope you will listen to TORAT's latest work, which goes beyond emo-rap and continues to evolve as pop music.
TORAT is a rapper/singer in Nagoya, Japan who was born in 2002. He's showing more borderless movement than the current Japanese music scene, releasing songs with overseas artists in a bilingual style (Japanese and English). He is also the vocalist of an alternative band, Free Fall Fist, and has a wide range of musicality such as metal core, city pop, and R&B. He produces music that doesn't need to be classified by genre with catchy and comfortable melodies. He has been skateboarding since he was 4 years old and became an AJSA certified professional skater at the age of 15, and has been experiencing the Japanese street culture since he was a kid. In spite of his deep involvement in underground culture like experiencing a rock band and skateboarding, his lyrics are sensitive and introspective, giving consideration to people's feelings.
