108pierrots is the solo project of Japanese singer-songwriter "Soka from 256 Dimensions". His songwriting is sometimes ethnic and sometimes melancholic, influenced by J-Pop, and the songs are enveloped in a spacey sound reminiscent of Sigur Ros, Kyte, Mew, Keane, and others. Longing for the countryside surrounded by nature and a complex with the sophisticated city spins suburban pop music with glimpses of nostalgia. He also has a strong commitment to expressing his own spirituality, not only writing and arranging musics and lyrics, but also mixing, mastering, creating impressive jacket artwork using watercolors and paper cutouts, and producing videos independently.
