A great job, a shiny career path, benefits that look so clear…
But why is everyone so tired?
Up at six a.m., jammed trains, tapping mobile games
Escaping to a dungeon called “the office” every day
“Let’s all do our best!”—like NPC bosses talk
But who designed this quest we’re grinding through nonstop?
My friend’s chasing government work—“stability’s the way.”
I dreamed of YouTube, but three views won’t pay
“Get a normal job,” my parents say—what’s “normal” anyway?
Flipping burgers is honest work, so why do we feel ashamed?
You know the word “to work” once meant “to ease another’s pain,”
But now we’re just “labor force”—products on a chain
Are we still human… or just gears in a frame?
Why am I grinding levels, bro?
(What’s the point of grinding, bro?)
Stacking XP, maxing skills—but for what final goal?
Money to live, or living for money’s flow?
Maybe it’s like cooking—if it tastes good, it shows
When someone says “thank you,” that’s the real reward I know—
Not the system, but the heart you pour
Job sites say “analyze yourself,”
16 types, blood-type charts—what’s the difference, help?
Entry sheets feel like fiction contests
“I’m so passionate about your firm”—come on, confess
Internships labeled “experience,” unpaid hours
“If it’s study, shouldn’t you pay me for the power?”
“Exploitation,” my senpai says—
But is “meaning” in work really a bad phrase?
I’m lost—what does working mean these days?
Wait a sec…
My friend stayed up all night coding games
Buggy as hell but his eyes still flamed
“Just want someone to play it”—he said with pride
He built it with love, no ROI inside
Grandma’s cooking—slow, inefficient, more expensive than store-bought
But that flavor—labor called “love” can’t be caught
If AI can do the tasks instead
Then what’s left for humans ahead?
Maybe the only thing we can still create
Is “work with heart” that no machine can replicate
I’m starting to see what leveling up means—
(It’s not about the money, money)
XP’s for me, skills for somebody
If you keep the balance, it might be fun, see?
Part-time work is real “help-work,”
Pro gamers too—real “help-work.”
What matters is—are you helping someone?
And are you growing as a person?
“Hey, why do you work?”
“Uh… at first, for the money, sure.”
“And now?”
“Maybe… to make someone smile more.”
“That’s just like play, isn’t it?”
“Yeah… maybe so.”
Why am I grinding levels again?
(Because we’re human, not machines.)
