A singer-songwriter from Satosho Town, Okayama Prefecture.
This year marks my 14th year in the music industry.
While I am happy to continue my activities primarily in my hometown of Okayama, I also experience various worries and anxieties. In those moments, music has always been there to encourage me and help me grow.
Thanks to the people I've met through music, I've come to love it even more. Whether it's receiving encouragement or finding the inspiration to take a new step forward, music makes my life shine.
I created my new song, "Music Magic," for the local summer festival in Satosho, where I have been performing since 2013. Driven by the desire to deliver something special to everyone coming to see the show, I began composing the song about two months before the event.
When I think of festivals, I picture bright, energetic songs that everyone can sing along to and enjoy. I wanted to create a track that feels like the "magic of music"a song that lifts everyone's spirits, even on days when we might be crying or struggling with worries.
In terms of production, I incorporated a tempo change for the first time. There is a section where the tempo shifts, creating a more relaxed atmosphere. Although I had wanted to try this for years, I hadn't been able to realize it because I couldn't come up with the right idea. Thanks to advice from the arranger, Ayumu Ishikawa, I was finally able to incorporate it into this song.
Music is my life. The songs I create evolve based on what I feel each day, the mistakes I make, and the people I meet.
To everyone who supports me and all the people behind the scenes who help make this possible: thank you so much.
Singer-songwriter CHISATO, from Okayama, Japan. In 2013, she joined OMS (now Voice Music Entertainment) and began her career in earnest. Her fourth single, "pray and hope," released in 2018, charted at 36th place on the US iTunes chart in the J-POP category. This song was created as a song to support the recovery efforts following the 2018 Western Japan Heavy Rains, which caused devastating damage, and the piano arrangement was done by singer-songwriter Fujii Kaze, who is from the same hometown as Chisato and agreed with her thoughts. Her album "JIGGY," released in 2019, was ranked in the top 50 J-Pop songs on Apple Music in countries such as Vietnam, Nepal, and Laos. In addition to live performances, she is also involved in a wide range of activities, including providing and appearing in TV commercials, working as a radio personality, and producing videos.
