In January 2025, "westman8" will release its second single "Utsuroi".
Nishihei, a music writer who belongs to the pop band "balconny" based in Fukuoka and active nationwide, has produced and provided many songs, and has begun releasing them under the name "westman8" by using AI to rearrange his own songs.
The theme of this work is "the conflict caused by the unreasonableness felt while living in society". The protagonist of the lyrics is a woman in her early 20s, expressing the vague feeling in her heart and her strong will against it.
The genre he aimed for was "Western music, K-pop, and dance pop", and he was particularly particular about the rhythm of the Japanese words in the chorus melody. It is a medium tempo song with a good groove.
The vocal part is adopted as it was created by AI, and some mistakes in the words are left as they are.
In addition, "PixAI" is used for the jacket photo, and "Moonbeam" is often used. The woman's face on the jacket photo for this song also has an angry look on her face, which matches the song and expresses the feeling of someone forging ahead on her own path.

Under the theme of "AI x Human," he reconstructs AI-generated tracks with a distinct human touch. This approach creates a unique City Pop and Urban sound that, while digital, retains a sense of warmth, blending nostalgia with modern innovation. His background is equally unique; he is the 4th generation successor to a family business established over a century ago, successfully balancing creative pursuits with business management. His diverse activities also include serving as a radio personality for a local FM station. Starting in 2026, he plans to launch seminars focused on AI utilization, continuing to define and present the model for the next generation of musicians.
