About the Song
Shinsekai Hane (New World, You Know) is a song about returning home after losing everything.
After years in Tokyo, Kosei Takemura came back to Osaka broken, exhausted, but alive.
There, under the neon glow of the Tsutenkaku Tower in the Shinsekai district,
he rediscovered warmth, laughter, and the quiet strength to keep living.
I"s a gentle yet powerful hymn for anyone who has faced failure,
a song that says: I"s okay. Let"s live, little by little.
Artist"s Words
The night I came back to Osaka,
I looked up at the Tsutenkaku Tower through tears.
That light told me I still had a place to live.
This song is my rebirth.

About Kosei Takemura
Kosei Takemura is a singer-songwriter from Osaka, Japan.
Since the 1990s, he has led several musical projects including Shinwa Densetsu,
Nettai Buyodan (Tropical Dance Company), and Marble World,
blending rock, folk, and world music into deeply personal narratives.
His works often explore the intersection of travel, healing, and human connection.
Shinsekai Hane marks a return to his roots
a song born from loss, yet filled with compassion and renewal.
Born in Osaka, Japan in 1963. Kosei Takemura began his career as an advertising creator in the 1990s while continuing his musical activities rooted in Asian and spiritual traditions. During this period, he formed the performance unit Tropical Dance Project (Nettai Buyoudan), combining South Indian and Balinese classical dance with contemporary music. In 2000, Takemura moved to Tokyo as a director of an IT venture company. However, the intense workload and the struggle to balance music and business life led him to develop schizophrenia, a turning point that changed his life. After leaving Tokyo and returning to Osaka, he found peace and inspiration in the warmth of the Shinsekai district, where he wrote the song Shinsekai wa ne (In the New World), a hymn to human resilience and quiet rebirth. After years of recovery, Takemura rebuilt his life through music and community work. He is now active as both an artist and a support worker at Nakama no Ie, a social welfare organization in Osaka, bridging music and mental health recovery through creative expression. In 2021, he formed the band Marble World, whose message Be as you are resonates deeply with those facing life challenges. In 2025, he revived his legendary 1990s project Tropical Dance Project with the concert Inori (Prayer) at Osaka Chakra.
