A song featured in the second kamikaze sequence of the musical Over The Silver Lining. As the young pilots take to the sky for the last time, they realize that their true enemy is not the young men flying against them, but the madness of war itself--born from human folly. Across the sea are other young men with families, loved ones, and people waiting for them to return. Had they been born in different countries, or met in another time, perhaps they might have become friends and shared a drink together. Grand yet deeply bittersweet, this song expresses the tragedy of young lives forced into conflict and carries a heartfelt prayer for a future in which people no longer have to kill one another.
