Silver Lining

A song for a special someone, and a reminder to myself: there is always a silver lining, no matter the struggle.

The extraordinary time I spent in Europe gave me so much inspiration for this track.
I've always approached songwriting like keeping a diary, but with this song, I feel I was able to capture the atmosphere of that moment more vividly than ever before.

Most of the arrangement came together on the flight back home.
With plenty of time on my hands, I carefully programmed every detail of the brass and strings. By layering unique voice samples and effects, I think I've created a track that feels truly cohesive.
(Though my laptop was so overloaded it barely moved the whole time!)
