A full moon rises over Edo, and lanterns begin to glow throughout the town.

Drawn by the pounding drums, a nekomata slips out from beneath the willow trees, while a tengu in high wooden geta cuts through the night breeze. Kappa, tanuki, oni, and dancing skeletons all step into the circle for one unforgettable night.

"Hyakki Bon Dance!" is a joyful Japanese festival hip-hop track from the Yokai Grand Music Festival series, bringing the supernatural spirits of Japanese folklore together for a moonlit bon odori celebration.

Powerful taiko drums, lively shamisen rhythms, handclaps, and the voices of the crowd fill the night:

"Hyakki!"
"Wasshoi!"

Living or dead, human or yokai, frightening or friendly-once the music begins, everyone becomes part of the same circle.

Created with respect for the fantastical yokai scenes of traditional ukiyo-e, "Hyakki Bon Dance!" brings Edo-period bon odori together with modern hip-hop in a summer festival that feels both nostalgic and completely new.
