"homecoming" is the latest song by Kabutomushi, who have been pursuing a band ensemble since their album "Shikisoku Lagoon". The lyrics, music, and artwork are by Satoshi Hori, who is also known as a painter.
Shimon Ono's rap intertwines with the sad yet cool tune in this unique number. It is a song about the indelible longing for a person you will never see again, sung radiantly.
Satoshi Hori said, "Hope that does not disappear even after death. The faint longing of boyhood that continues to wander this world. When the next flight comes, I'll see you as an adult. I want to go home. I want to see you! Such hope and a life lost in the light of the missile. Sadness and memories do not disappear, but gradually become smaller and smaller, becoming a beautiful star. Wishes do not disappear, they leave words and become happy songs. I mean, everything is alright!"
A music production team formed by four graduates of the Tokyo University of the Arts, known for their work on the Ultimate Fiction Radio's "Don't Forget Michiko" and the creation of songs with a band arrangement. Their works continue to resonate with the emotional fabric of Japan. In 2022, they were selected as the backing band for Makoto Kawamoto, delivering a beautiful ensemble. On February 28, 2024, they are set to release their new album, "Alien". They operate their independent label, "WAS MICHI RECORDS," handling all aspects of music production on their own.
