After visiting this Western-style mansion, Yayako vanished without a trace. For some reason, a blood-stained smartphone had arrived at her home; its screen was cracked, and the GPS displayed this very location in red characters. The gate was overgrown and gloomy; the wind howled violently, and crows flapped noisily from the surrounding woods.
She slipped through a hole in the weathered wall. To an observer, it was trespassing but Kureha possessed no such capacity for cool, rational thought. She caught sight of a dark shadow and a multitude of wavering white mists.
The lingering psychic traces of someone having passed by formed a trail of light, leading deep into the mansiona path marking where they had been just moments before.
Lighting her lantern, Kureha pressed onward. To save her best friend, she would cut through the miasma permeating the mansion and venture ever deeper into its heart...
