小山流三代目の小山豊が率いる⺠謡×ストリートカルチャーのビッグバンド ”東京⺠謡倶楽部”が2月17日(金)に1st albumを配信リリースする。
これまでの音楽人生の中で小山豊が出会って影響を受けた実力派ミュージシャンを従え、 和のフォーマットに洋を入れ込むという形で、本来の⺠謡のルーツを大切にし、新たな表現をするプロジェクト。 バンドマスターに”邦楽2.0”として”Japanese Guitar”を提唱する「渥美幸裕」を迎え、 ⺠謡を新たな形でアップデートし現代に伝える。 音楽とともに映像、デザイン、和の文化の総合的なコミュニティを形成し、“和の日常化”を目指すのが 東京⺠謡倶楽部の魅力。
既にリリース済みの「東獅子」「こきりこ節」は1st album 用にリマスタリング。 こちらも聴きどころの1つとなっている。
ミュージックビデオでも独自の世界観を披露している。

Folk Music x Street Culture = Tokyo MinYo Club. Folk music as called MinYo change its style along with time and generation. Re-democratization of folk music and bringing Japanese sounds to our life. With its thoughts, Yutaka Oyama, the third generation of the Tsugaru-Shamisen Oyama style formed a project convening various musicians. A music that created and used the potential of the root foundation of Japanese music they resonate it to the across Japan and to the world. Playing the folk music Minyo of this generation. That is Tokyo MinYo Club.
