An 18-year-old rapper lonelow, based in Mie Prefecture, has released his second EP.
The title and theme of the project is "Futuristic Boy".
Literally translated as "a futuristic boy", the EP embodies lonelow's confidence and determination toward the future of himself, his peers, and his hometown of Mie. These emotions are laid over trend-driven beats that give the project a modern edge.
The EP features production from Japanese beatmakers masaya and 0-twallt, with guest appearances from Tokai-area rappers EV and OWG.

The opening track and title song, "Futuristic Boy", features the line "I came from the future", followed by "Whether you believe it or not is up to me".
These lyrics symbolize lonelow's strong belief in his path forward, while simultaneously placing pressure on himself, revealing both his determination and vision for the future.

The closing track, "Reisho Shitoke", explores the struggles and inner conflicts that come with being a local artist from Mie Prefecture, expressing the resolve and transformation born from those experiences.

This EP clearly showcases not only the depth of its content, but also lonelow's continuously evolving skills as a rapper.
Listeners nationwide, and especially those from Mie, are strongly encouraged to give it a listen.
An EP that captures lonelow's growth both as a person and as a rapper.

Artist Profile

  • lonelow

lonelow Born in 2007, from Matsusaka City, Mie Prefecture, lonelow is a rapper who first discovered hip-hop at the age of 12 after watching the 15th High School Rap Championship. He began his career in earnest in 2023, and as a first-year high school student with only a year of experience, he became the youngest contestant to compete in the 19th High School Rap Championshi-and went on to win the title. Last year, he released both an album and an EP, and this August he dropped his second album, Brand New Me, continuing a tight schedule of releases. His lyrics reflect his struggles and determination to pursue music in Mie Prefecture-where few peers share the same path-while adapting his own style to trending beats. In August, he also performed at AH1 in Nagoya, sharing the stage with some of the most renowned artists in the scene. In the MC battle circuit, he has already made his mark with four appearances in the High School Rap Championship and an entry in KING OF KINGS 2024 GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL. At present, his main focus is releasing music as he continues to build his career as an artist.
