IN THIS CITY, EVERY BUILDING MUST GROW ONE FLOOR TALLER EVERY YEAR.

STAYING THE SAME SIZE IS CALLED DECLINE, SO THE CITY CELEBRATES EACH NEW FLOOR WITH THE SAME MESSAGE:

WE GREW AGAIN.

BUT AS THE BUILDINGS RISE, THE ROOMS BECOME SMALLER, THE HALLWAYS NARROWER, AND EVERYDAY LIFE QUIETLY LOSES A LITTLE MORE SPACE.

THE 101st FLOOR IS A RELEASE BY TSUKI TO TAIYO BUILT AROUND A SIMPLE QUESTION: DOES BECOMING BIGGER ALWAYS MEAN BECOMING RICHER?

PROGRESSIVE RHYTHMS, RISING MELODIES, MODULATIONS, MECHANICAL TEXTURES, AND ACOUSTIC INSTRUMENTS TURN THE CITY ITSELF INTO MUSIC. THE HIGHER THE SONG CLIMBS, THE MORE CROWDED IT BECOMES UNTIL THE ELEVATOR REACHES A FLOOR WHERE NO ONE ACTUALLY LIVES.

AT THE TOP, THERE IS ONLY A NUMBER THAT REFUSES TO STOP GROWING.

AND SOMEWHERE ON THE WAY BACK DOWN, ONE FORGOTTEN WORD RETURNS:

ENOUGH.

Artist Profile

  • Moon and Sun

Tsuki to Taiyo is an AI music project turning societys hidden contradictions power, money, information, fear, freedom, and the things we are told to accept as normal into music and stories. The project does not exist to deliver ready made answers. Every song begins by questioning them. Rooted in the spirit of hiphop, Tsuki to Taiyo collides dark EDM, progressive music, industrial electronics, rock, acoustic instruments, and whatever else the story demands. Aggressive rap can fracture into silence, vulnerability can erupt into chaos, and violent experimentation can suddenly open into an unforgettable melodic chorus. This is music designed not only to move your body, but to leave a question behind. In a world where good and evil, truth and lies, freedom and control are rarely easy to separate, Tsuki to Taiyo chooses to keep looking beneath the surface. A dark hero armed with music.
