beipana's new EP "Late Night Fog" is a lo-fi indie oriented cinematic instruments. Steel guitar playing a swayed mellow melody, organ slumbers endlessly. It's minimalistic laidback music for a peaceful spring night like Yo La Tengo, Tommy Guerrero and Fishmans.
Also influenced by and close to
Ry Cooder / David Sylvian / Johnny Nash/ Low / King Krule
Tokyo based composer, a lap steel guitar player, beipana creates the latest type of resort music, mixing vintage Hawaiian and modern texture. Combining island sounds of a beautifully played steel guitar with the more laidback samples and electronics give lsiteners a vacation worthy piece of production to relax to. Recently beipana has been performing covers of Hawaiian oldies songs in the style of "steel guitar playing + lo-fi beats" on Instagram. It was picked up by the global account of ROLAND and has got huge reaction. His CD album "Lost in Pacific" was also chosen as one of contributor's best album 2016 of FACT Magazine.
