PUSH BACK! is the latest single from XEON, the collaborative project between XANSEI and Leon Fanourakis.
Blending the raw aggression of punk, the high-velocity rhythms of jungle and drum & bass, and a genre-bending rap approach, the track delivers an intense, high-energy sonic experience that refuses to sit within any single category. It's loud, chaotic, and unapologetically alive - a direct reflection of the 'life of a raver' mindset that drives the record.
Built around the idea of going hard every single day, the lyrics switch fluidly between Japanese and English, capturing a rebellious attitude toward a world full of noise, opinions, and distractions. Lines like 'Go hard on a daily'and "Don't play me" reinforce a clear message: reject safety, ignore expectations, and move purely on instinct.
"PUSH BACK!" isn't just about resistance - it's about autonomy. It's about refusing to do anything you don't believe in, cutting off anything that feels forced, and choosing your own path without compromise. The track channels raw impulse, desire, and freedom, pushing against both internal doubt and external pressure.
Sonically, the production fuses distorted punk energy with tightly programmed jungle/DnB drums, creating a relentless forward momentum. XANSEI and Leon Fanourakis trade verses with sharp intensity, their contrasting tones colliding over the beat while maintaining a cohesive, explosive dynamic. The result is a sound that feels both chaotic and intentional - a defining statement of XEON's genreless identity.
True to its title, "PUSH BACK!" stands as a reaction against norms, rules, and imposed limitations. It challenges listeners to question whether they're following a path out of fear or choosing it for themselves.
Positioned at the intersection of club culture, street energy, and internet-era expression, "PUSH BACK!" marks a bold step forward for XEON - a track that doesn't ask for permission, only demands presence.
