The first movement of "Divertimento". As the title suggests, it follows one of the traditions of "Serenade" and begins with a pizzicato and monophony that imitates a guitar, but even in bright E major, due to heavy use of non-harmonic tones and frequent modulation derailments, from face value. It is not what you expected. Like the opening movement of the sonata, it has the role of showing the motif to the following movements, and the jumping pitch included in the opening three notes "G # -A # -B" and the minor third obtained from its replacement. Sequential progression and subsequent scale progression are the basic motifs of the entire "Divertimento".
Although it is a three-part form of (A-B-A'), A uses only stringed instruments, B uses only wind instruments, and A'uses both, but the motif of middle part B also reads the scale progression and the minor third sequential progression. In A', both A and B elements are combined. The dark minor of the next movement "Sarabande" broke into the coda that should end brightly, and after all, the whole scenario itself of "Divertimento" collapsed from the beginning like the title of "Serenade".
