Kotobuki Hane returns with the fifth installment of her cover series. Spanning the Showa and Heisei eras, UTABOSHI ("Singing Star") brings together 15 beloved Japanese classics that have transcended generations, reimagined for the Reiwa era.

The album features "Kuruwasetaino," "Hitonatsu no Keiken," "Yoroshiku Aishu," "Haru Ichiban," "Akai Fusen," "Taisetsu na Anata," "Dakishimete TONIGHT," "Kitamachi Kado," "Mi Amore," "Anata ni Aete Yokatta," "Haru Nanoni," "Dreaming Girl Koi, Hajimemashite," "Haikara san ga Tooru," "Kanashimi yo Konnichiwa," and "Tada Nakitakunaru no."

From timeless standards to iconic idol pop and classic kayokyoku, each song is reconstructed through Kotobuki Hane's own distinctive musical lens. While honoring the spirit of the originals, she moves freely through city pop, Latin, dance music, and rock, creating a vibrant and diverse new sound. Taking on an extraordinary collection of songs originally performed by some of Japan's most legendary idols and singers, Kotobuki Hane delivers one of her most ambitious performances to date.

Following previous entries in the cover series dedicated to video games, anime, and The Beatles, UTABOSHI marks its fifth chapter and its largest yet. Filled with an overflowing respect for the Showa and Heisei songs that Kotobuki Hane loves, this 15 track album stands as a celebration of Japanese pop music across generations.

Producer Yuya Ishii describes the project as one he "gave everything to complete," calling it a true masterpiece forged through sheer dedication.
