FUKO ISHII began her career in Europe after winning the 2nd Brahms International Piano Competition (Detmold) in 2019, and returned to Japan in 2024 after winning the 17th Grieg International Piano Competition (Bergen) in 2022. This time, she will perform several pieces from the Grieg Lyric Pieces, which she selected herself, a rarely heard Grieg's Ballade, and "Carnival" by Schumann, one of her favorite composers.     Born in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, he began his career in Europe with first prize at the 2nd Brahms International Piano Competition (Detmold) in 2019, and won the 17th Grieg International Piano Competition (Bergen) in 2022.He has performed as soloist with the Basel Symphony Orchestra, the Bergen Symphony Orchestra, and the Detmold State Theatre Orchestra, and has given concerts throughout Europe.In Japan, she won the first prize in the piano section of the 82nd Japan Music Competition, the first prize in the 56th All Japan Student Music Competition, the second prize in the piano section of the 6th Tokyo Music Competition, and has performed with many major orchestras in Japan including NHK Symphony Orchestra, Yomiuri Symphony Orchestra, Kyoto Symphony Orchestra, etc.After graduating from Toho Gakuen School of Music, she went on to study at the Toho Gakuen School of Music in Cologne, Germany, and at the Toho Gakuen School of Music in Tokyo, Japan.She then studied at the Cologne College of Music and at the Kunsthochschule Basel, where she graduated with the highest marks from the Master's and Performer's programs.He also studied chamber music, song accompaniment, and Hammerklavier. 2019 Japan Agency for Cultural Affairs Overseas Study Program for Emerging Artists trainee. 2014 Yamato City Art and Culture Future Award winner. 2020 CD of Brahms & Haydn works at the Detmold University of Music.Her performance activities are centered on the works of Beethoven, Brahms, and Grieg.He has studied piano under Mitsuyo Ezaki, Nobuyoshi Kato, Genichiro Murakami, and Claudio Martinez-Mehner, and has been a part-time lecturer at Toho Gakuen School of Music since 2024.
