This neo-classical masterpiece is inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's 1843 fairy tale, "The Ugly Duckling," reimagined through the lens of heavy metal.
Driven by a relentless 16-beat tempo, the track features a sophisticated bridge between the main theme and the intense guitar solo-performed in A Harmonic Minor (E Phrygian Dominant 7th).
In this section, I have woven in Niccolò Paganini's legendary "24 Caprices, No. 24 in A Minor."
While the track utilizes multi-tracking to build its massive wall of sound, each layer was captured in a single take.
The solo section is a pure, raw improvisation, showcasing a divine moment of musical instinct.
Furthermore, the extreme technicality and complexity of the drum composition stand as a core attraction of this piece.
