Taisho Romance - A Waltz of the Moga and Mobo
An orchestral piece originally composed for a musical, portraying the romance of a Moga and Mobo in Japan's Taisho era.
A graceful waltz captures the lightness of young love, followed by a playful and comical middle section. The piece then blossoms into a dazzling orchestral finale, like a scene from a film.
The music evokes the elegance of the Taisho era, where modernity and tradition intertwined, along with the sparkle and excitement of young love.
Composer, Arranger, Orchestrator, and Keyboardist. Raised in Australia during childhood, I later returned to Japan and majored in composition at university, followed by graduate studies in film music. After completing my graduate degree, I began my professional career as an assistant to Joe Hisaishi. Since then, I have been involved in a wide range of projects, including films, TV dramas, and commercials, gaining extensive experience in high-level productions. As an orchestrator and copyist, I have collaborated with composers across different generations and genres, supporting music production at the forefront of the industry. After dedicating time to raising my children, I have resumed my journey to share my own music with the world. I am currently releasing works that I have cherished over the years, including orchestral-based soundtracks and vocal tracks featuring Synthesizer V. Embracing this era where individual artists can share their music globally, I aim to reach more listeners and connect through my sound. I hope that the music I have nurtured will touch someone's heart and open the door to new worlds.
