This song was written for a workshop titled "Creating a Musical with Vietnamese Middle School Students." I wrote the lyrics based on words collected from my Japanese colleagues participating in the project. The title, "Your Color," embodies my hope that everyone will cherish their own unique color. Just as there are countless colors in the world, every person has their own individuality. I believe it is precisely because of this diversity that the world is so fascinating and vibrant. May we all learn to cherish our own individuality and our own unique colors.

Artist Profile

  • Daichi Asanuma

Singer-songwriter born in Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture. Began activities in 2016. Having experienced bullying in the past, he aspired to become a counselor to support people going through tough times, but gave up due to financial reasons. Having loved music since childhood, he is now active in conveying the message through music that it's okay to be weak, it's okay to be whoever you are. Influenced by singer-songwriter Yu Takahashi, his strengths lie in straightforward lyrics, his vocal delivery, and catchy melodies. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, he performed live shows across Japan, based in the Kanto region. Currently, he focuses mainly on creating and distributing music, while performing live shows every few months. He has previously performed with artists such as Hiromitsu Kagawa (Grand Prix winner of the nationally broadcast TBS program Uta-Oh 2016) and Nijiiro Samurai.
