Have You Ever

KYOKASHO RECORDS

Third spring. The same town. The same old side of the river

Have you ever come home and found the door had grown?

We have been to a city of many tongues

We have flown, we have knocked, we have written it all

And now a foreigner stands at our school gate wall

"I have never been to Japan," she says, "until this fall."

She has discovered manga, martial arts, a musical show

She has seen our animation — "the drawing is so delicate!"

Things we have ignored, things we have already known —

She calls them global. We called them ordinary, yet

Have you ever… have you ever seen your home

Through eyes that have never been here before?

Words are power. Words are light

What we have lived is worth a little more

Bird has finally met a fan — an actor from a regional stage

"Your song has crossed the sea," he says. "It is said that it has a root here."

Mina has written an essay: "Existence has no single page."

Kai has read it twice. He hasn't said a word. Not yet. Not clear

Fashion, genre, adventure, taste — every scroll has a technique

Every movement has an influence, every link a positive side

In addition, what we express has matched an adult's quality —

Take advantage of the moment: we have carried the world home, entirely, inside

Have you ever… have you ever seen your home

Through eyes that have never been here before?

Words are power. Words are light

We have grown. And we have opened one more door

Third spring. Have you ever? — Yes. We have

Sentanbun - Movement 3: Words Have Stayed

    KYOKASHO RECORDS

WORD WORLD (Uta-tan) Disc 3 "Grade 9"

An album where every word and grammar point from the junior-high English textbook becomes a lyric. Built around Japan's NEW HORIZON 3 curriculum, with cross-reference tables for other major textbooks on every track page.

All 12 songs form a graduation album: in their third spring, the world finally comes to Kai, Bird, and Mina. The musical backbone is choir - the one form of music every Japanese ninth-grader shares. Present perfect looks back on three years, relative clauses call old friends home, the subjunctive mood turns toward hope, and the final track brings everyone back to the melody of Track 1.

Track 13, "Sentanbun (Movement 3)," is a bonus track that packs all 419 words of the third-year vocabulary list into a single six-and-a-half-minute song. Across all three grades, the trilogy covers Japan's full 1,486-word junior-high vocabulary in about 19 minutes total.
