Representing Taiwan, blind pianist Huang Yu-Hsiang, meets the primitive groove and sensitivity of Japanese composer Ryuji Enokida. Two Asian musicians meet and develop unique sounds, bom of unseen and wordless mutual empathy, Huang Yu-Hsiang playing as if this were a once-in-a-lifetime oppportunity.

Huang Yu-Hsiang: born 1987 in Taichung, Taiwan. Pianist and composer. Sightless from birth, Huang Yu-Hsiang started playing the piano at the age of 4 years old. He graduated from Taipei National University of Arts, Department of Piano, going on to win countless competitions, his repertoire extending from classic to pops, including jazz, rock, latin, experimental music and ad-lib. Huang Yu-Hsiang also acted, performed and arranged the music score for the movie “Touch Of The Light",(Directed by Chang Jung-Chi/2012/Taiwan) which premieres February 2014 in cinemas across Japan. Huang was awarded the Outstanding Taiwanese Filmmaker of the Year Award at the Golden Horse Film Festival. He was voted best actor in the Milano International Film Festival and is one of the most sought-after artists in Taiwan. Ryuji Enokida : born 1964 in Kanagawa, Japan. Composer, guitarist, vocalist and producer. After an accident in his late twenties which forced him to abandon music temporarily, Enokida used the process of recovery to discover and pursue his unique improvisation-based musical style. He has worked in theatre, film and dance as well as collaborating with modern art, workshops and more. His collaboration with Huang Yu-Hsiang dates from 2009, and includes live dates in Taiwan, Japan and Australia. The television programme “The Message for Our Future” is Ryuji Enokida’s own production. The theme music for the show is composed by him and played by Huang Yu-Hsiang. His work is based on the theme of “Life itself".
