"Princess Futon" tells the story of a five-year-old girl who insisted, "It has to be a princess," yet ultimately chose a futon cover that was a little different from her original dream, proudly saying, "This is the one."
The lyrics capture everyday moments in detail - scrolling through dream designs on a tablet, and at Tokyo Station, showing kindness to her mother while still honestly pointing out her lateness.
The repeated chorus line, "Not 'this will do,' but 'this is the one,'" carries the heart of the song: the importance of expressing yourself clearly and choosing with true conviction.
