Yorunokoe" is the third solo single by rapper maco marets in 2023.
The track was made/produced by Riki Azuma (Small Circle of Friends / STUDIO75) following the first "Kariyado" and second "Himitsu". In addition, guitarist Taisuke Miyata (South Penguin support, etc.), who has participated in many maco marets' works, plays a part in some of the performances, creating track with a more fast-paced production than the above two tracks.
The lyrics by maco marets, which are tinged with heat as if in response to the track, are based on the theme of the disturbing "voices" that strike us at night, as the song title suggests: the feeling of being entangled in memories of the past and unanswerable thoughts.
It reveals a part of the anguish he has been facing as a rapper, as he compares his own condition to that of a "stranded whale".
Born in Fukuoka in 1995, he is a rapper and poet currently based in Tokyo. He made his CD debut in 2016 with his first album, "Orang.Pendek". In 2018, he launched his self-run label "Woodlands Circle" and has consistently released works up to his latest album, "Wild", his eighth release. In recent years, he has gained attention through diverse activities including the theme song "Howl" for NHK E TV's "Z no Sentaku" program, collaborations with various artists such as Fujiwara Sakura, Buoy, Maika Loubté, and Shin Sakiura, publishing the poetry collection "Lepido and Dendron", exhibiting/selling at art book events, and writing serialized columns for media outlets.
