A sleepless night.
Sometimes, after everything falls apart and two people choose to walk away, you truly believe it's over.
But as time passes, an unexpected feeling begins to grow-that maybe leaving was a mistake.
You gather the courage to reach out, hoping for one more chance.
Only to realize... it's already too late.
This song is about that kind of love-the regret of letting someone go, and the longing that remains.
River Gypsy is the music project of Yohei Sugawara, a riverboard guide whose life has been shaped by rivers, travel, and personal challenge. Based in Mitake, Okutama, Tokyo, Yohei works as a professional riverboarding and hydrospeed guide while writing songs inspired by life on the river, the feeling of moving forward by his own will, and the long detours that shape a life. His music is not created as a message for someone else, but as an expression of following his own heart and passion, born from the days he has kept moving forward while feeling lost, holding on to this way of life as if he could not let it go. Through a simple voice and guitar, River Gypsy expresses the detours of life, the uncertainty of moving forward, and the act of challenging himself while still carrying weakness.
