    He had been working as a pianist but he suffered from Focal Dystonia in his early twenties, then mainly came to compose, arrange and orchestrate for lots of concerts, TV programs (including the arrangements and orchestrations in 2007, 2008, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, All Japan Medalist On Ice: Figure Skating & live concert program such as the arrangements for the orchestra conducted by Junichi Hirokami who is a professor of Tokyo College of Music, concert master: Yasushi Toyoshima who is a concertmaster of Saito Kinen Orchestra, etc.). He composes and arranges for Czech Strings Quintet Concert in Japan, 2012, Parnas Quintet in 2014, Prague Spirit Quintet Concert tour in 2013, 2015, Martinu String Quartet tour in 2016. He composes a piece for piano and orchestra for theme park - FUJI Television Wangan studio in TOKYO, Odaiba. He arranges the strings sections' scores for the recording and the live performance of the Japanese famous pianist and producer, Toshiya Shioiri ( In the concert, the violinist Ikuko Kawai plays the solo part. Its live concert performance in STB Tokyo is broadcast on satellite- TV). Furthermore, he composes for the recital concert with a solo piano for the collection of poems written by Japanese very famous actress, Kazuko Yoshiyuki. He arranges for lots of recordings, TV CM, PV, CF, etc, (including the compositions of an orchestral pieces for Panasonic CM in Athens Olympics 2004 opening ceremony and the Cinema CM for the prime minister's office.). There are some recordings (BMG Victor), compositions in the game music (Capcom / Biohazard 0, etc.). He used to compose for new original ballet works only for very short term. He has ever arranged songs and composed for the collaboration concerts with Martinu String Quartet, Bennewitz String Quartet in 2017, and Apollon Quartet in 2018. Martinu String Quartet performed his works in their Jindrichuv Hradec, Chamber music course 2017. He arranged the piece of the Japan Figure Skates Championship in 2019, including Shoma Uno's exhibition piece. He has composed and arranged all the pieces for YOKOHAMA OPENING PORT FESTIVAL "BEAM SPECTACLE IN HARBOUR " since 2018, which Coca-Cola Japan presents. He love poems_!   • Junya Makino

    Junya Makino was born in Mishima, Japan. He began to play the violin at the age of three with Toru Takao. He studied under Yasuo Mito and Machia Saito at the Tokyo College of Music, under Anke Schittenhelm at the University of the Arts in Graz, Austria and under Rainer Schmidt (Hagen String Quartet) at the Music Academy in Basel, Switzerland. He also studied Contemporary Music under Mike Svoboda, Jürg Henneberger and Marcus Weiss at the Music Academy in Basel. He learns contemporary music (violin) under Irvine Arditti, Lucas Fels, Ilya Gringolts, Jagdish Mistry (Ensemble Modern), Giorgos Panagiotidis (Ensemble Modern), Melise Mellinger (Ensemble recherché) and Hannah Weirich (Ensemble Musikfabrik). He has participated in international competitions, including the 4th International Jascha Heifetz Competition in Lithuania. He has also taken master classes with Saschko Gawriloff, Liana Isakadze, Boris Belkin, Eberhard Feltz, Christos Polyzoides, Demetrius Polyzoides and Sylvia-Elisabeth Viertel, among others. Junya is an year 2014/2015's member of Internationale Ensemble Modern Akademie in Frankfurt, Germany - famous ensemble, which exist since 1980, and is performing music of contemporary European composers. During 2014-2015, being a violinist of ensemble's academy, he played big amount of pieces around all Europe in many festivals, such as Gaudeamus Muziekweek in Utrecht, Biennale für Moderne Musik Frankfurt Rhein Main, KulturTagJahr, two weeks of concerts in Paris on MANIFESTE Akademie IRCAM, Dessau, Witten Neue Musik Tage, Achtbrücken Musik Festival Köln, Ruhrtriiiennale and cresc Festival in Frankfurt. He worked with such musicians as Heinz Holliger, Beat Furrer, Michael Jarrell, George Aperghis, Ingo Metzmacher, Emilio Pomarico, Lucas Vis, Michael Quell, Bennewitz Quartet and Apollon Quartet, among others. In July 2014, he was invited as a soloist playing Vivaldi Four Seasons with the Parnas String Quintet (members of the Prague Symphony Orchestra and the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra) at the Tokyo Opera City Recital Hall. In September 2016, as a soloist he premiered (in Ukraine) Ligeti Violin Concerto in Kiev with Armonia Rudos. Beside his principal activity as a performer, he organizes contemporary music festivals. In December 2015, he was founding the contemporary music festival "Kyiv Contemporary Music Days (KCMD)" in Kiev, Ukraine with his colleagues as a vice president and up to now, the festival provided more than 100 events. In April 2019, he was founding the contemporary music festival "Mishima Contemporary Music Days (MCMD)" in his home town Mishima, Japan. Currently, he is the director of the festival MCMD and prepares for 2nd edition that will be held in November 2020.
